Ignoto01 is a key figure within the local law enforcement, without doubt the most talked-about (at least in recent years); a prominent member of the dominant mafia summed him up with the phrase: “as long as he’s there, we’re fine”.
It is said that Ignoto01 has DIRECT friendly ties (some even claim family ties) going back a long way with certain high-level mafia figures, for whom he has acted for decades as a “lightning rod”, often redirecting investigations and inquiries onto other criminal groups or individual crooks.
I consider Ignoto01 the main representative of the “Rogoredo System” in the area where I live and, notably, he has a few things in common with, or similar to, Cinturrino—especially “stability” (he has been stationed locally for decades), and his hierarchical rank: high enough to reach “deputy”, but not high enough to be a manager.
NOTE: Even in his private life there are some shadows: it is said that he beat his (ex) wife until he disfigured her, and that she suffered for life the psychological consequences of the abuse and beatings; of course the unfortunate affair was hushed up, not without some effort, by his then supervisor/commander.
Also to better convey Ignoto01’s activities and way of operating, I recount below a “folkloric” episode in which I was indirectly involved, of no or lesser legal relevance, but in my view very telling.
