SKIZZO continues to try to hit me, luckily for me he always does it in the same way, with the exact same blow that repeats itself: a hammer blow that arrives diagonally on my left side, always the same, instinctively I swing back and forth, as he tries to do, alternating painful parries with my left arm with dodges and I manage to push SKIZZO just outside the door of the building.
Now the door of the building is completely wide open and SKIZZO is right at its edge, I don't know if it's because I'm angry, but I don't even consider the most obvious and safe solution: closing the door in his face, going back to the apartment and calling the police.
NO, now I want to face him.
While I manage to push him a little further away from the door and I am still inside but only a little and I prepare to go out and move the fight outside, but suddenly I see SKIZZO who quickly moves away a step or two, almost simultaneously I feel something that lightly hits my legs, behind me... It's SKY, he managed to open the door of the apartment and reached us, I step back a step and maintaining my posture in the direction of skizzo I try to grab SKY with my right hand, I call him out loud but it's already too late: he is in the courtyard of the building wandering around curiously moving back and forth between me and SKIZZO.
SKY's arrival confuses both me and SKIZZO leaving both of us without a clear strategy, SKIZZO decides to move and reach the access road, outside the condominium area, SKY follows him and I also rush into the street, continuing to call his name while I struggle to limit the flow of blood. I try to strike a blow to SKIZZO, he also tries to reach me with another slash, but now we are distant and ineffective with the blows, I realize that if I want to get him back I have to concentrate on SKY so I go in his direction, for a few seconds I almost ignore SKIZZO limiting myself to keeping an eye on him.
Then SKIZZO runs away and chooses to do so by taking via Verdi, SKY starts determined to chase him despite my calls, they turn towards the terraglio, I chase both of them, they are faster than me, I see them take via 4 Novembre but when I get there too they have disappeared, I don't see them anymore.
I continue walking along Via 4 Novembre until I reach the center, I have completely lost sight of them, I continue to bleed, even my clothes are stained with blood because I used them to dry myself, apparently no one notices, there are very few people around, scattered, far from me, I walk through the center but I still don't see them... I stop for a moment, I don't know what to do.
I realize that I have to raise the alarm, at this point I can do very little, in fact, it is certainly better for me to go to the emergency room and have them take a look... it is a wound that is losing a lot of blood and it is on my head... yes it is certainly better for me to go to the hospital, but first I have to raise the alarm, but I don't even have my cell phone with me: I left it at home.
Then I think that a few hundred meters away there is the Carabinieri command with an adjoining barracks, it is huge if you consider the size of Mogliano, moreover they have recently filled it with personnel, many young people, men and women, that's where I have to go, I rush, I run, I reach the command in a few minutes and I hold on to the bell.
NO ONE ANSWERS, a recorded voice answers every time I ring the bell... I DON'T BELIEVE IT!... THE BARRACKS IS DESERT!... I could die here in front and no one would notice until the morning... crazy!
I head home, walking... in disbelief... it's absurd, it's all absurd.
I get home and as I enter the courtyard of the building I SEE HIM and I can't believe my eyes... It's SKY!... he managed to find his way home and is wandering around the courtyard uncertainly... he gets caught by the collar and brought back to the apartment... HALLELUJAH!... at least one problem solved... I calm down a bit, now there's only ONE open problem.
I call 112 and explain the situation, someone answers and immediately gets an ambulance and a police car, the ones who arrive are policemen stationed here in Mogliano, I know them by sight, I even think I recognize one of those who searched my house, they minimize what happened and my situation, they repeat a few questions especially regarding the identification of the attacker, they try to make me contradict myself, they are hostile with me to the point that they almost argue with the ambulance staff who instead insist on taking me to the hospital immediately.
I had already understood it, and these attitudes remove any possible doubt, the carabinieri of the local command defend SKIZZO and his gang and I also know why: every now and then they use them as informants, regardless of being told a lot of lies in the hope of getting some tips to catch big fish and they are willing to intimidate and even get into trouble the few honest people who report them!
But they can't stop the hospitalization, in the end the nurses' insistence gets the better of them: the ambulance leaves, when we arrive at the emergency room it is 03.36, I am almost asleep, the adrenaline has run out and the pain in my head is starting to make itself felt.
The tests are positive, no permanent damage or brain lesions, only a few points on my head where the wounds had opened, at 07.00 in the morning they tell me that I can be discharged.
